A hydraulic data sign that is in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association’s standard is a sign that is:
- Weatherproof
- Secured with a wire or chain that does not corrode
- Placed above every system valve within the automatic sprinkler system
- Marked with up-to-date information (ensured by periodic inspection) in a permanent manner (engraved in place of handwritten)
- Made of metal or hard plastic, as stickers or paper materials tear and ruin over time
As stated above, hydraulic data signs must be present above every system valve throughout an automatic sprinkler system, but they must also be applied promptly after the system’s installation. You’ll want to ensure you have your signs on hand in a timely manner.
That’s where we can help.
