Description
GENERIC METAL HYDRAULIC SIGN PRINTING
NFPA 13 requires that installers identify hydraulic systems with clearly marked signs and placards. All signs need to contain specific information (described below). The signs need to have the following characteristics:
* Made of rigid metal or hard plastic
* Permanent markings that are legible
* Attached to valves with a wire or chain that is durable and weatherproof
* Placed in areas that employees can quickly locate

VALVE PLACEMENT
Sprinkler systems contain valves at different points along the pipeline and close to the hydraulic base. For this reason, installers will place metal hydraulic sign printing at each valve that displays various pressure points and the amount of water passing through the network. NFPA 13 requires that ALL valves are marked with a sign. Examples of valves would include:
* Alarm valve
* Dry-pipe valve
* Preaction valve
* Deluge valve
* Main valve
